As a kid, I always loved my dad's stir fry dinners. This is a new spin I put on one of his classic meals. This recipe calls for steak marination so you at least need to prep a couple of hours before cooking! I decided to marinate my steak night before. In a ziploc bag, I placed chopped steak, soy sauce, sriracha seasoning, white balsamic vinegar and a little bit of sugar and placed in the refrigerator to marinate over night.
In a wok, I added wok oil and the steak cubes. Once the meat was almost fully cooked, I added my vegetables which included green beans, mushrooms and onions add soy sauce and if you have House of Tsang Classic and Szechuan sauce add that to your meat and veggies. While sauteing my steak and veggies, I started boiling my jasmine rice because a stir fry wouldn't be completed without jasmine rice. Serve stir fried steak and veggies with jasmine rice and top it off with sesame seeds.
This is a quick and easy recipe fully of yumminess.
Ingredients:
- Lobster
- Shrimp
- Asparagus
- Kale
- Angel Hair Pasta
- Heavy Whipping Cream
- Butter
First, saute the shrimp, lobster and asparagus with some olive oil. Once those are fully cooked add some kale as well. Then move to side to use later.
Next melt 1/3 of a stick of butter and add the heavy whipping cream in a pan. Use as much as you think you'll need to cover the amount of pasta you made. Add garlic salt, pepper and parsley to the cream and butter. Once the concoction begins bubble a bit add the noodles and allow the noodles to cook a bit in the sauce. The last step is adding the ingredients on top--stir and serve!
Sundays are always complete with a hearty meal to start to week! Our last Sunday Supper included a Sunday Supper staple and this one includes another one--baked chicken. You can never go wrong with baked chicken for Sunday Supper!
I always rinse my poultry and then roll it in virgin olive oil to ensure the seasoning will stick and chicken will remain moist while baking. I like to add garlic salt, paprika, light laurie seasoning salt, pepper and parsley on my chicken. I then add plenty of orange or yellow peppers and onions to top it off before placing it in the oven. I like to bake my chicken at a higher temperature so that they won't take as long. So I'll bake my chicken at 425 for 35 minutes or so. Once they're finished, I'll broil then for about 5-8 extra minutes to make the skin a little crispy.
The sides this evening included homemade mashed potatoes and flash fried kale. For the potatoes peel and boil. Then put in a saucepan and mash while adding butter, milk and your seasoning of choice. For the kale, rinse and heat olive oil in fan and quickly flash fry. Add minced garlic, garlic salt and pepper for seasoning.
So when you mix your favorite omelette with a flour tortilla you get a pretty amazing breakfast burrito! So feel free to follow this recipe below but also to create your own omelette with whatever fillings you prefer and throw it on a tortilla for your very own breakfast burrito!
I personally love bacon, onions, peppers and cheese in my omelette. So ensure you have all your mixes chopped and ready to be thrown in the egg. I always use two eggs per omelette and add milk while scrambling. In skillet add a little of olive oil and pour your scramble eggs and throw your mixes on top. If you're really good, let the egg settle in the pan and flip. Me, I'm not that great at flipping the eggs so my omelettes usually turn into scrambles. Warm your tortilla in the microwave on in a skillet and you can lightly line with sour cream and salsa and throw your omelette inside and wrap!
I mean seriously, who doesn't love baked mostaccioli? But honestly, sometimes you just don't have the time for it to be baked to amazingness. So here's an another option to have some wonderful mostaccioli for half the time--stove top mostaccioli!
Of course, with all pasta dishes, the first step should be boiling the noodles in salted water to al dente and this is no exception. You can use penne noodles for this recipe. Once noodles are boiled rinse with water and I always like to add garlic salt, pepper, parsley and some parmesan cheese to my cooked noodles while they're still hot.
While the noodles are boiling, you can begin to cook the ground beef-- of course if you want to be healthy you can substitute the ground beef for ground turkey. So brown the ground beef and pour out excess fat before adding tomato sauce. Once you add the tomato sauce, add the noodles and allow to cook on the stove for about 10 minutes so everything can gel well. Add a little more parmesan to top off before serving!
Sunday suppers wouldn't be supper without some homemade baked macaroni and cheese. This Sunday supper was no exception. It's a rather easy and quick way to ensure everyone's souls are fed well to begin a new week! On tonight's menu was baked tilapia, macaroni and cheese with bacon and brussel sprouts.
I would advise starting on the mac and cheese first as it takes the longest to bake. The first step is boiling your noodles to al dente. Once the noodles are finished you'll strain and layer noodles in a bake dish with cheese, butter and light salt and pepper. Once finished add a quick, raw, scrambled egg with milk to the top to help it all gel together. Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes or until the cheese at the top is crispy enough for you.
I also LOVE bacon on top of my mac and cheese so I would throw some pieces of bacon in the oven on a cookie pan or deep bake dish as I don't like to battle frying bacon on the stove! Hold on to the grease from the bacon as it will be used later.
To prep the tilapia, rinse thoroughly and lightly coat with olive and oil. Then add your choice of seasoning and also place in the oven at 350 for about 20 minutes.
Once the bacon is done, use the grease to fly fry the brussel sprouts. Rinse the brussel sprouts and slice in half. Once cooking in the bacon grease add light salt and pepper.
Ingredients:
Farfalle pasta noodles
1 Orange or yellow pepper
4-6 slices of thick cut bacon
Kale or fresh spinach
Heavy whipping cream
1 stick of Butter
Boil noodles until tender and drain. Add garlic salt and pepper to noodles. Dice pepper. You may cook the bacon on the stove but I prefer to bake mine at 375 for 15-20 minutes. The bacon actually comes out tasting better and you protect yourself from potentially getting popped with grease! After the bacon is finished, pour a bit of the grease in a skillet and sauté the peppers and kale/spinach. If you wanted to add some other meat like shrimp or any other seafood, sauté along with the veggies. Move all of that to separate bowl and begin to make the homemade white pasta sauce.
Melt 1/2 stick of better add a hefty amount of garlic salt, black pepper, and parsley to the butter. Once it's almost melted, add about 2/3 of the whipping cream container. You can really play it by eye and determine how saucy you want your pasta. Allow the cream and butter to sit for 2-3 mins and stir occasionally and add a bit more of the garlic salt and pepper. Then add the noodles, veggies and bacon. Add more garlic salt, pepper and parsley flakes. Then stir and allow for pasta to cook on stove top until sauce thickens.
Ingredients:
Hungry Jack Buttermilk Pancake Mix
Milk
Egg
Oil
Nestle Toll House Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
Follow the instructions on the pancake mix box. After everything is blended, add as many chocolate chip morsels as you please! I like to use a nonstick griddle for best results but if you don't have a griddle, any nonstick pan will work. Once the pan's hot, pour the mix and let it cook on one side until you start seeing bubbles pop through. Then flip it. Try not to flip it too many times as it will toughen the pancake.
